GCTU Business School Inaugurates Sub-committees

The 15 members of the committees were charged to make decisions in the interest of the University

The Ghana Communication Technology University Business School has inaugurated three sub-committees of its Faculty Board in a ceremony held on 4th April 2024 at the Business School.

The occasion was used to highlight the mandates and key responsibilities of the sub-committees, as well as outline the activities slated for the year 2024 and beyond.

Sitting in for the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Robert Ebo Hinson, the Dean of the Business School, Prof. George Oppong Ampong, underscored the significance of these committees, emphasizing their formation at the instance of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Emmanuel Ohene Afoakwa, in alignment with the University’s strategic plan.

Prof. Ampong stressed that the decisions made by these committees would be paramount to the institution’s interests, ensuring efficient execution of their roles. Drawing inspiration from the University’s strategic plan’s twelve pillars, he expressed confidence in the diverse backgrounds and experiences of the committee members while assuring them of the faculty’s unwavering support in fulfilling their mandates.

Comprising five members each, with representatives from every department, the three sub-committees — Programme Development and Orientation, Teaching, Learning and Student Experience as well as the Research and Innovation — were carefully constituted to address various facets of academic and institutional development.

During the ceremony, committee members affirmed their dedication and readiness to collaborate for the advancement of the University, pledging to work collectively towards its continuous growth and development. This commitment underscores their shared vision of fostering academic excellence and innovation within the institution.
