He highlighted the University’s evolution from a telecommunications training centre into a fully-fledged ICT-focused institution, with a vision to become West Africa’s leading high-tech university and Ghana’s Silicon Valley.

“We are excited to welcome Xashy Tech Institute as an affiliate institution. This partnership aligns with our mission to develop human capital in ICT and related fields. With our specialization in Telecommunications and Computer Science, we are well-positioned to mentor institutions like Xashy Tech in delivering world-class education,” Prof. Afoakwa stated.
He also outlined the rigorous mentorship process, explaining that GCTU, having been mentored by KNUST until 2020, understands the importance of maintaining high academic and professional standards. The affiliation will ensure that Xashy Tech’s curriculum, faculty, and examinations meet GCTU’s established benchmarks.
