The Directorate of General Administration and Operations (DGAO) has organized a training session on the University’s Strategic Plan for its support staff on April 29, 2025, at the main campus.

The training was aimed at sensitizing and deepening the understanding of the strategic goals of the University to guide the work of supervisors, cleaners, drivers, labourers and gardeners of the outfit.

The Director for DGAO and facilitator of the session, Dr. Vera Graham Asante, emphasized that the successful realization of the strategic goals of the University depends on the consistent application of its core values in the day-to-day activities of all staff.

At the training, the Director gave highlights of the eight (8) year strategic plan in the Akan language (Twi) to enable the participants to fully grasp the content and significance of the plan and foster compliance with its provisions. The connection between the operational plans of the Directorate and the Corporate Strategic plan was illustrated using relatable family-based analogies to enhance comprehension.

The training is expected to enhance productivity, drive positive employee behaviour and elicit appropriate attitudes required for the achievement of the strategic and operational goals of the Directorate and the University.
