Eric Amoateng joined the Department of Electrical and Electronics, Faculty of Engineering, Ghana Communications Technology University (GCTU) in 2022, and has since been teaching courses in Signals and Systems, Digital Signal Processing, Digital Systems, Electromagnetic Field Theory and Electromagnetic Interference.
He received his B.S degree in Telecommunication Engineering at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana, in 2009 and his M.S degree in Electrical Engineering with Specialization in Signal Processing and Wave Propagation at Linnaeus University, Växjö, Sweden in 2013. He started his lecturing career in 2013 at Kaaf University College. He has also lectured at Accra Institute of Technology (AIT) in Accra, Ghana
Eric has also worked as a head of renewable energy systems at Rhema Engineering Solutions, providing technical support to installation team and designing and analyzing solar power systems.
He is currently a PhD candidate, studying Telecommunication Engineering, at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana. His research interests include intelligent reflecting surfaces, reconfigurable and beam steering antennas, graphene-based devices, metamaterials and metasurfaces. -
