Teksol Eganow Ltd Donates IMAC Computer To Boost GCTU’S Online Engagement
Teksol Eganow Ltd has generously donated an iMac computer to boost GCTU’s online engagement and marketing capabilities on Wednesday, 31st July 2024.
This donation was a response to a request made by the Vice-Chancellor during the Vice-Chancellor’s Executive Club Breakfast Meeting held a few months ago. This all-in-one desktop computer will complement the effort to give GCTU a vibrant and engaging online presence, streamline content creation and elevate its digital marketing efforts, ultimately boosting engagement and outreach.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Emmanuel Ohene Afoakwa expressed heartfelt gratitude for the donation. “I was thrilled to hear that you have honoured our request to donate a computer for the establishment of our social media hub. Thank you for this kind gesture. This is going to serve a good purpose and the ability to engage with our online audience and to reach a wider community,” he said.
Prof. Afoakwa highlighted that plans are far advanced to set up a Centre for Innovation, Technology, Skills and Entrepreneurship that will equip students with the knowledge and competencies needed for innovation and technology adoption. He elaborated that the centre will enhance individuals’ abilities, improve performance, efficiency and effectiveness in various roles and industries.
This will include training in areas like cyber security, artificial intelligence and all spheres of ICT. “GCTU has the capacity to train as an institution of core excellence, we ensure that we stay within our mandate in ICT training and enhance our brand. We look forward to a long-term relationship aimed at building the “Silicon valley” agenda,” he noted. Prof. Afoakwa hinted at the University introducing a Finteh programme.
Giving his remarks, the Chief Executive Officer of Teksol Eganow Ltd, Mr. Louis Amenyo Adanuty, stated that his company, as a tech company with 16 years experience in powering financial institutions with cutting-edge technology provides a full range of professional services and business solutions. “These solutions enhance business performance by leveraging the complexity and power of the latest internet and mobile technologies. The Bank of Ghana (BoG) has licensed the company to also function as a Fintech company known as ‘Eganow’,” he emphasized.
Mr. Adanuty indicated his company’s readiness to support faculties to impart the experiences had over the years to the students. “We are committed to taking some students on internships and nurturing them for the job market. We are proud to donate this iMac computer to support your social media and marketing initiatives and to drive positive impact. We pray that we will all see the “Silicon Valley” agenda materialize,” he said.
