The NNF Esquire Limited, the Representative of Pearson Education in Ghana, has presented a cheque for One Hundred Thousand Ghana Cedis (Gh¢100,000.00) to support the GCTU’s recently commissioned Centre for Innovation, Technology, Skills and Entrepreneurship Training (CITSET) lab on October 22, 2025, at the Vice-Chancellor’s office.
The donation was in fulfillment of a pledge made by the CEO of NNF Esquire Limited, Mr. Frank Y.K. Segbawu, during the commissioning of the 60-user CITSET lab, held on October 16, 2025.

Speaking at the short ceremony, the Marketing Manager of NNF Esquire Limited, Mr. Paul Mensah Koyah, emphasized that the company appreciates the opportunity to be part of GCTU’s community. He noted that GCTU remains dedicated to cultivating a digitally proficient and innovation-oriented generation, merging learning, creativity and entrepreneurship to drive progress and thus, support for this vital initiative is essential.
Mr. Koyah further added that the company is ever ready to support the Centre when a request is made. “We want to say, be like Oliver Twist, always ask for more. We can never tell who will come out of this University to become a decision-maker tomorrow and if they are not well-equipped, they will make decisions that will affect us all,” Mr. Koyah remarked.

In his response to the kind gesture, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Emmanuel Ohene Afoakwa, on behalf of GCTU’s Governing Council, Management and the entire staff of the University, expressed his profound gratitude to the company for the generous donation, redeeming their financial pledge and indicated that the money will be put to good use. Prof. Afoakwa assured that the University would prioritize the purchase of essential equipment and ensure that the funds are allocated wisely. “There are some equipment we need to purchase and we will use the money judiciously,” Prof. Afoakwa emphasized.

The centre, which is located within the SGSR block, was established with the aim of equipping students and professionals with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in today’s fast-paced tech-driven economy, while advancing GCTU’s vision of becoming the “Silicon Valley” of Africa.
