
GCTU has held an orientation programme on February 24, 2025, for students enrolled in the ABE Level 4 Business Management programme for the 2024/25 academic year.
Engaging with the students, the Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ebo Hinson urged them to become ambassadors of the programme by educating others on its benefits and encouraging more students to pursue ABE qualifications.
The ABE Country Head, Mr. Isaac Yeboah highlighted the partnership between GCTU and ABE which offers students a valuable opportunity to advance their education. He called on the students to stay motivated and take their studies seriously to maximize the benefits of the ABE programme.
The Dean of the Business School, Prof. Ampong, expressed his enthusiasm for the new cohort, emphasizing that the orientation was designed to equip students with essential information for a successful academic experience. He advised them to feel at home and also assured them of gaining the necessary technological skills to excel in the programme. He noted that students who successfully complete the programme will have the opportunity to transition into the university’s degree programmes.
Earlier at the event, the Director of the Centre for Strategic Business and Professional Development (CSBPD) Mrs. Araba Hackman Akanji, welcomed the students and provided an overview of the session and the academic journey ahead.
The Professional Programmes Coordinator at CSBPD, Mr. Louis Akorli, guided students through the general rules and regulations, institutional policies and the importance of discipline, ethical conduct and professionalism throughout their studies.
The programme concluded with a question & answer session, providing students the opportunity to seek clarification and address their concerns.
