The Alumni Relations and Institutional Advancement of the Directorate of University Relations, in collaboration with the SRC, has organized an “End- Right” Seminar for final-year students at the Tesano Campus on Thursday, 30 July 2026.
The event was designed to equip final-year students with practical knowledge, career guidance and professional insights to support their transition into the world of work, while encouraging reflection on their academic journey and lifelong learning.
Delivering the welcome address, the Chairperson and Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ebenezer Malcalm, highlighted the role of education in shaping future leaders and urged students to embrace technological innovation while using AI responsibly. He also encouraged them to remain connected to their alma mater through active alumni engagement.
Addressing the Students, the Guest Speaker, Founder and Executive Director, Centres for Business Analysis and Professional Certification, Mr. Stephen Obeng-Kwateng stressed that “integrity and attitude are crucial for teamwork and career success.” He urged students to define their career goals, develop relevant skills, strengthen professional networks and embrace continuous learning.
Delivering her brief speech on the purpose of the seminar, the Director, University Relations, Dr. Nusrat-Jahan Abubakar, indicated that the seminar was designed to equip final-year students with the confidence, practical skills and career readiness needed for a smooth transition into the workforce. She assured the finalists that the seminar was going to connect them with accomplished alumni for mentorship purposes.
Participants later took the Oath of Affirmation, led by the Alumni President, Ms. Magdalene Lamptey, who encouraged them to complete their studies with excellence and remain engaged with the University through the Alumni Association.
On behalf of the Dean of Students, Assistant Registrar, Ms. Pearl Mina Adoley Akoto-Bamfo urged students to actively engage with the speakers and apply the knowledge and practical insights gained from the seminar as they prepare for the world of work.
The seminar concluded with a presentation by a Cybersecurity Professional from Amalitech Ghana, Ms. Emmanuella Seyram Zah, who encouraged students to build their professional profiles on Linked-In, pursue scholarship and internship opportunities, and expand their networks through professional events.
