• Profile



    Michael Owusu Tabiri holds a Ph.D. in Language Sciences with a specialization in Sociolinguistics and Language Didactics from the Université Félix Houphouët-Boigny de Cocody, Côte d’Ivoire. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Education, Winneba, in the Department of Applied Linguistics. He attended Sunyani Secondary School and proceeded to Mount Mary Training College at Somanya where he was trained as a French and English teacher.

    He holds an Honours degree (French Major) from the University of Cape Coast where he read Religion and English up to levels 200 and 300, respectively. Additionally, he obtained a Master of Philosophy degree in French Language/Linguistics from the University of Ghana, Legon. Michael Owusu Tabiri also holds a Master of Education in Teaching English as a Second Language from the University of Education, Winneba.

    He holds a Diploma in Ministry Studies from Victory International School of Ministry, a Diploma in Missions and Community Development from the Living Word School of Ministry, CUC-Ghana and Diploma in French Proficiency (Diplôme d’Études en Langue Française-DELF B2- Village du Bénin, Togo/France). His research interests include Language Sciences, Language Technology, Applied Linguistics, Sociolinguistics, Language Didactics, Second/Third Language teaching, Critical Discourse Analysis, Contrastive Linguistics and Error Analysis.

    Michael has authored 22 peer-reviewed journal articles, a book, two book chapters, and 32 publications in national dailies. He is also an editor, reviewer, and proofreader. He teaches French at the Undergraduate level and English Proficiency at the Language Centre where he serves as the coordinator. Michael serves as the University Chaplain.

    Dr Michael Owusu Tabiri has attended conferences and seminars, presenting papers in Ghana, Togo, Côte d'Ivoire, Hungary, the United Kingdom and Turkey.

    I am a lecturer in the Department of Marketing at Ghana Communication Technology University. I have also been a marketing and entrepreneurship lecturer at Dominion University College and Regent University College in Ghana. At Regent, I was doubling as the Director of Educational Support Services, with the duty of bridging the gap between students and industry.

    I am passionate about agribusiness because of my background and experience as an Agricultural Extension Officer with the Ministry of Food and Agriculture in Ghana. I assisted rural farmers in the best practices of producing, processing and marketing farm products for livelihood. In addition, I delivered entrepreneurial training to service users in the cottage industry with emphasis on ornamental plants, fruit & vegetable production and marketing as an Outreach Employment Officer at Heritage Care in London, the United Kingdom.

    Ms. Lydia Serwaah Asare is a chartered professional administrator and management consultant with over 20 years of work experience in office management, quality assurance, customer experience, and project management.

    Before the attainment of the Chartered Professional in Administration and Management Consultancy from the Chartered Institute of Administrators and Management Consultancy(CIAMC), She held a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Total Quality Management, a Bachelor of Science (BSc.) degree in Management Studies, a High National Diploma in Secretaryship and Management Studies from the University of Professional Studies, the Central University and the Accra Technical University respectively.

    Ms. Asare is a multifaceted professional with exceptional experience in local and international institutions. She is currently an Assistant Registrar in charge of quality assurance-related activities such as monitoring, auditing, and evaluation at Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU).

    Prior to Ms Asare joining GCTU in 2013, she worked as a Senior Quality Assurance Specialist at TechMahindra Ghana (Airtel Ghana Call Centre), a Quality Assurance Specialist at Vodafone Ghana, and a Customer Service Executive at Exzeed Call Centre, Ghana.

    She believes that quality assurance is everyone’s responsibility. However, the philosophy of “doing it right” begins with the Quality Officer who sets the tone for culture excellence and accountability that ensures that everyone is working towards a common goal of delivery high- quality outcomes.

    Mr. Kofi Asamoah Owusu-Ansah is an Assistant Registrar at the Office of the Registrar at the Ghana Communication Technology University. He is currently the Head of the Registrar’s Secretariat. Mr. Owusu-Ansah has been employed with the University since 2013 and has served in several capacities. He previously served as the Head of the Academic Affairs Unit and Administrative Officer at the School of Graduate Studies and Research from October 2013 to July 2023.

    Mr. Owusu-Ansah aspires to be in a senior managerial position where his qualities and experiences will inure to his personal benefit and the organisation. He also aspires to be in a position where he will have opportunities for growth and advancement. He also desires to be a lecturer in Strategic Management and Consulting and any Management related field to impart his knowledge to the younger generation.
