GCTU Bids Farewell to Miss Evelyn Asiedu, Former Head of Student Affairs
On Tuesday 19th November, 2019, we bid a heartfelt farewell to Ms. Evelyn Asiedu, our long-serving Head of Student Affairs who, since 2006, carried out her role with exemplary distinction and a staunch commitment which will be difficult to replicate.
In commemoration of her departure and as a sign of appreciation for her hard work over the years, the University organized a farewell event in her honour.
The event, which was attended by management, staff, faculty, students and alumni gave the opportunity for tributes to be poured out by a host of individuals who had worked closely with her over the years. There was unanimous praise from all who spoke, as they commended her for her diligence, dedication, honesty, integrity, attention to detail and the admirable level of forthrightness she exhibited in the dispensing of her duties. Miss Asiedu for her part was touched by the kind gesture shown to her by the University community and communicated her gratitude for having the opportunity to serve GTUC for the past 13 years.
We are exceedingly grateful to Ms.Asiedu and wish her the very best on her retirement.
