CSBPD Commences A One-month Intensive Cyber Security Training Programme

The Centre for Strategic Business Professional Development (CSBPD) has commenced a one-month intensive training programme in Cybersecurity on February 17, 2026 at the forensic lab.

The training, which aimed at building participants’ capacity in digital security and related technologies, attracted 26 participants, including students from Ghana Communication Technology University and University of Professional Studies, Accra, as well as other individuals seeking to pursue careers in cybersecurity.

An Assistant Registrar, Ms. Cynthia Ampadu-Boateng, warmly welcomed participants to GCTU. She encouraged them to take full advantage of the opportunity and actively engage in all aspects of the training to maximize their learning experience.

The Head of the Department of Computer Science and the resource person for the training, Dr. Emmanuel Freeman, an experienced cybersecurity professional and academic, will guide participants through both the theoretical and practical aspects of cybersecurity, designed to equip them with the skills needed to respond to evolving digital threats.

Designed to ensure flexibility and wider participation, the programme is being delivered through a blended learning format, combining face-to-face sessions with online instruction to allow participants to benefit from interactive in-person engagement while also leveraging digital learning platforms.

The initiative underscores CSBPD’s commitment to equipping participants with relevant digital security skills to meet the growing demands of the cybersecurity industry and contribute meaningfully to safeguarding digital systems and information.
