Mensfarm Hostel emerged victorious over Delicious Hostel in the finals of the GCTU SRC Inter-Hostel Football Tournament, held at the University’s sports complex on Wednesday, July 2, 2025.
The event, organized by the SRC Sports Committee, was part of the SRC Week celebrations and showcased outstanding teamwork, skill and sportsmanship among students from various hostels.
The tournament featured teams from several prominent hostels, including Unidaz, Glass, Escort, Blankson, Tuhazy, De Rio, Palace, Non-Resident Team A and Non-Resident Team B.
In an interview, the coach of the Mensfarm team and a level 400 Computer Engineering student, Oswald Opoku Agyemang, shared that the team was initially uncertain about their chances due to a perceived lack of strength. “My team prepared exceptionally well for the tournament and it’s wonderful to see our efforts pay off,” he said.
