GCTU Leadership Explores International Collaboration In The Uk

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Emmanuel Ohene Afoakwa, and the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Robert Ebo Hinson, are in the United Kingdom to attend the Coventry University graduation ceremony on Friday, 19th July 2024.

During their visit, Prof. Afoakwa and Prof. Hinson also took the opportunity to explore the possibility of a partnership with the University of Hertfordshire in London. This strategic move aims to foster collaborations that will enhance the academic and research capabilities of GCTU.

Earlier on Tuesday, 16th July, Prof. Afoakwa and Prof. Hinson visited the Association of Business Executives (ABE) UK to have similar discussions.

Following the fruitful meetings, the parties will in due course, sign memoranda of understanding (MoU) to operationalize the partnership agreements.

These initiatives underscore the foresight and proactive leadership of the Vice-Chancellor, further solidifying GCTU’s commitment to providing international exposure and opportunities for its students.

Before returning to Ghana, Prof. Afoakwa will lead the GCTU graduating students who are set to participate in the Coventry University graduation ceremony.

The University Community is optimistic that the engagements with the Universities of Hertfordshire and ABE UK will significantly boost GCTU’s international reputation and academic partnerships.

Ayekoo to the Vice-Chancellor and Pro Vice-Chancellor for their dedication and efforts in advancing the University’s global presence.
