The Royal Voices gave some riveting performances to astound the audience. The Florence Onny Auditorium was charged with the participants dancing and singing along as the choir dropped tune after tune. In support was the Exvokings, a guest choir from Ashaiman. They took their turn and stirred the auditorium with a wonderful display of song and dance, akin to a Zulu war dance.

A fundraising effort in aid of acquiring musical instruments yielded GHS 11,500.00 with the Council of Patrons donating GHS 2,000.00. The money will go to purchase a combo and other instruments for the choir.

The choir’s history, which began in February 2020, saw its official recognition in May 2023 after a successful performance at the 30th Matriculation Ceremony. The choir has since participated in various university events, earning the name “The GCTU Royal Voices.”

The event was graced by senior members of the university community.

With the zeal and determination shown by the choir and its leadership, the future of the Royal Voices is bright. On the evidence of their display on the night, they are poised to fly the flag of GCTU high.
