GRADUATE SCHOOL HOLDS 3RD PRESTIGIOUS LECTURES

The Graduate School of Ghana Technology University College (GTUC) has held yet another Prestigious Lecture for its students and the general public. The unique event comes off every month.

The lectures create an opportunity for students and Faculty to interact and share experiences with professionals and giants of industry and corporate Ghana. The lectures are delivered by seasoned professionals who have excelled in their various fields of endeavour and want to share with our students and faculty practical insights into their respective fields.

The 3rd edition of the “2014 Prestigious Lectures” was delivered by the Chief Executive Officer, KOANS Estates, Mr. Kofi Anokye. He spoke on the theme: “Building the foundation of business to stand the test of all times”. With experience in industry and the corporate world, Mr. Anokye took participants through an hour and half presentation.

In his presentation, Mr. Anokye exposed participants to the four main stages of a business and also emphasized on the need to build a business on three main pillars which are the economic, the knowledge and the political pillars which according to him are the foundation pillars of every successful business.

Participants were given the opportunity to ask questions and also share their experiences.

Mr. Anokye ended his presentation with a familiar quote from Cicero De Officii “The more higher you are placed, the more humble you should become”.

The Dean of the Graduate School, GTUC, Dr. Francis Agyenim Boateng thanked Mr. Kofi Anokye for honouring the School’s invitation and also assured students of the University’s commitment to the delivery of quality practical education for all. He added that, the Prestigious Lectures should be a platform to tap into the knowledge and experience of industry and business giants.

The next edition of the Prestigious Lectures comes off on April 25, 2014.
