Congratulations GTUC


In commemoration of the annual World Contraceptives Day, and with the aim of empowering young people with the right information regarding their Sexual and Reproductive Health, the Marie Stopes Ghana Youth Advisory Board in collaboration with some selected tertiary schools in Accra (of which Ghana Technology University College was part of) the maiden edition of the NO YAWA Pageantry was organized. This pageantry involved four weeks of orientation and grooming of participants.

A contraceptive pageant amongst six (6) selected tertiary institutions in Accra informed by the Diva concept with the provision of free Family Planning and health screening services. Each participating University submitted two contestants who were to present a proposal to tackle one of the core adolescent/youth sexual and reproductive health problems in Ghana. Out of the six, GTUC took the first place, with university of Ghana and university of professional studies coming 2nd and 3rd respectively.  The winning team was awarded a cash prizes of GHc10, 000 to implement their project over a year period. We are proud of Clinton Kwadwo Kwei Ofosu and Doreen George Antwi for representing GTUC and winning the competition. Indeed, you make us proud.
