GCTU has entered into a partnership with ManyTek International LLC, a United States (US)-based technology and workforce innovation centre, to create practical job and internship opportunities for students of the University.

The partnership, signed on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at the GCTU Main Campus in Tesano, Accra, by the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ebenezer Malcalm, and the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of ManyTek International, Mr. Emmanuel Damptey, includes the establishment of an ultra-modern studio to support the creation of podcasts for the University.

ManyTek International is known for delivering cyber operations and developing workforce intelligence systems designed to verify, deploy and scale talent.

Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Malcalm said the partnership symbolised a shared vision and commitment to preparing the next generation of professionals for success in an increasingly digital and technology-driven world.

He said GCTU, as a public university focused on technological innovation and digital transformation, continued to pursue strategic partnerships that enhance teaching and learning, promote innovation, strengthen industry collaboration and create opportunities for students, faculty and staff.

Prof. Malcalm expressed optimism that the partnership would open new pathways for industry-recognised Cisco certification, enhanced digital skills training and improved access to technology-driven opportunities for students.

“It reflects our commitment to ensuring that GCTU graduates are equipped with globally relevant competencies that make them competitive in a rapidly evolving digital economy,” he said.

According to Prof. Malcalm, the partnership would also provide faculty members with opportunities for professional development, industry engagement, collaborative research, knowledge exchange and participation in emerging technology initiatives.

Mr. Damptey addressing members of the University community

Mr. Damptey said the partnership would help unlock the potential of Ghanaian students and young professionals by providing them with greater exposure to practical industry experience and positioning them to compete effectively in the global technology ecosystem.

“GCTU brings academic strength, faculty expertise, research capability, institutional credibility and many others. On the other hand, ManyTek will bring practical cybersecurity experience, workforce development, technology platforms, industry perspectives and an international operating bridge.

“Our strengths are different and that is the reason why this particular partnership can be very powerful,” he noted.
