A delegation from ManyTek International LLC, a United States-based technology and workforce innovation centre, has paid a courtesy call on the Acting Vice-Chancellor of GCTU, Prof. Ebenezer Malcalm, on Tuesday, September 29, 2026.
The visit, which took place ahead of the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two institutions, provided an opportunity to familiarise themselves and discuss areas of mutual interest.
The proposed collaboration seeks to expose GCTU students to international internship and employment opportunities, particularly in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence (AI), while providing practical experience to complement their academic training. It will also facilitate the establishment of a ManyTek Workforce Intelligence System (MWIS) and the development of the University’s podcast.
Welcoming the delegation, Prof. Malcalm said the partnership was significant to the University’s efforts to prepare graduates for the global job market.
“What you are bringing on board will make it global, because our students also have to be placed. What we are trying to do is to ensure that before our students leave the University, they are fully prepared and ready for the global job market,” he said.

The Founder and Chief Executive Officer of ManyTek International, Mr. Emmanuel Damptey, said the organisation had established partnerships with educational institutions across the world to create international internship and employment opportunities for young people.
He said ManyTek’s expertise in cybersecurity and AI would provide GCTU students with practical experience and opportunities to translate academic knowledge into demonstrated professional capabilities.
The Chairman of the GCTU Governing Council, Ing. Divine D.K. Kpetigo, said exposing students to international opportunities was among the University’s strategic priorities, noting that such partnerships would broaden GCTU’s global reach and connect students to industry opportunities.
The Registrar, Ms. Jennifer Tornyeli Akude, and the Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Ruhiya Abubakar, expressed the University’s commitment to making the collaboration fruitful and beneficial to students.
The ManyTek delegation included Mr. Kamal Yakuk, Strategic Advisor, and Mr. Dawud Agbere, Board Member.
The courtesy call was followed by the signing of the MoU, formally establishing the partnership between GCTU and ManyTek International LLC.
