GCTU Choir Performs A Sensational Concert
The GCTU Choir, “The Royal Voices,” delivered a magnificent performance of choral music on Friday, July 19, 2024 at the Florence Onny Auditorium.
The concert, aptly titled “Our Journey of Joy” (OJOJ), marked its second edition and thrilled patrons with an evening of beautiful music. Demonstrating their vocal prowess and commitment to their craft, The Royal Voices once again captivated the audience, reinforcing their reputation for excellence in choral music.
The Choir President, Mr. Sylvester Tettey, extended a warm welcome to patrons at the event. In his remarks, he emphasized that the concert serves as a testament to the transformative power of music, unity and creativity that flourishes within the University Community. “As we gather to celebrate the unifying force of music, we honour the dedication and excellence embodied by our choir. May the melodies of our “Journey of Joy” 2024 uplift and unite us. May we cherish the talent and collaborative spirit that have brought us together tonight. Let us revel in the joy of music and celebrate the spirit of unity that makes this evening truly special,” he said.
Led by Elkanah Frimpong Junior, the choir took patrons on a journey through a diverse range of repertoire, from classical masterpieces to modern favorites with their harmonious voices and infectious enthusiasm.
The concert featured guest appearances by the University of Ghana Jubilee Choir, Exvokings GH, as well as captivating solo performances adding to the evening’s excitement making for an unforgettable musical experience.
The event was graced by some staff of the University Community.
