GTUC Holds Performance Appraisal Workshop
The Human Resource Unit in collaboration with the University Relation Office has organised a 2-day performance appraisal workshop for senior administrative members and senior staff of the University.
The training was organised to create a platform to engage employees in developing a new performance appraisal system for the University College.
The new appraisal system is expected to be developed based on the University’s Core Values of Excellence, Student-Centred, Academic Freedom, Innovation and Integrity.
The shift from the current performance appraisal system to one that is grounded on the University’s Core Values, is to enhance employee understanding and appreciation of the GTUC brand. It is also aimed at ensuring that staff internalise the new Core Values and input it in their daily routines.
As part of the training, participants had discussions on the key elements of each value, how to incorporate the Core Values into the appraisal system, identify measurement tools and develop sub-criteria for assessment. It is expected that training will be extended to Support Staff and faculty within the University College.
Facilitators of the workshop include, Mr. Emmanuel Agyepong, Mr. Dela Akpakli, Mrs. Araba Hackman, Mrs. Abena Anyidoho and Mr. Yaw Owusu Agyemang.
